Medical Assistants

Our medical staff includes nuclear technologists, echo and vascular technologists, and medical assistants who interact with patients on a daily basis in a number of ways. They are responsible for preparing patients to be seen by the physician or nurse practitioner.  They obtain all patient vitals, perform EKG, and review patient’s current medications. They are committed to providing the best and most personalized cardiology treatment in a courteous and personal environment.

Karen Liams

Karen Iiams, LPN, is a licensed LPN since 1976.  She has worked in both adult and pediatric cardiology. Karen is certified in Basic Life Support (BLS).

Nikki Flint graduated from Career Quest of Lansing with PCT and CNA certifications. She has worked in the medical field for five years and she is currently working as a medical assistant at Capital Cardiology. She is certified in Basic Life Support.

Jami Hogan is a graduate of Ferris State University in Nuclear Medicine. Jami graduated with top honors receiving the prestigious Maria Gardoa award for excellence. She was also recognized by the Society of Nuclear Medicine as an outstanding technologist and was awarded a Paul Cole Achievement Award.

Jami has an extensive experience in Nuclear Cardiology, and Pediatric Cardiology.

Nicole Khon, RDCS (AE) has a bachelors in Exercise Science, and has Echo certification. She is board certified in Adult Echo with the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers since 2004.

Kim Denslow has worked as an Echo-cardiogram and Vascular Technologist for over 25 years. Kim performs Cardiac Echo-cardiograms, Doppler Exams and Vascular Studies.
